BeeYard Log Privacy Policy

BeeYard Log is a local-first field notebook for recording apiaries, hives, inspections, feeding, and follow-up tasks. This policy explains what the app stores and the limited technical data processed by its service providers.

Information stored on your device

Apiary names and locations, hive details, inspection observations, feeding records, tasks, notes, settings, and imported backups are stored in the app's private storage on your device. BeeYard Log does not require an account and does not upload this field-record content to a WittyApps server.

Analytics and crash reports

Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics may process app interactions, app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, app version, and technical diagnostics. We use this information to understand whether core workflows succeed and to diagnose crashes. Analytics events are designed not to include apiary names, locations, hive identifiers, notes, inspection observations, backup contents, or other field-record content.

Backups, exports, and notifications

Backup and restore files are created or selected only when you request those actions. Files are handled through your device's file and sharing services, whose practices are governed by their providers. Task reminders are scheduled locally on your device. BeeYard Log does not operate a cloud synchronization service.

Your choices

• Export a backup of your records from Settings.
• Delete all app records from Settings using the confirmation step.
• Remove local app data by uninstalling the app, subject to your device backup settings.
• Control notification permission in your device settings.

Data retention and security

Field records remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Firebase retains analytics and crash information according to Google's product settings and policies. Local data is protected by the security controls of your operating system. No storage method is completely secure, so the app limits server-side processing by keeping field records local.

Children

BeeYard Log is a general-purpose field tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its service providers change. The current version will remain available at this address with its effective date.
