OBD Scope Privacy Policy

OBD Scope is a read-only BLE OBD-II companion. This policy explains what the app processes.
Data stored on your device
Scan results, diagnostic codes, adapter names, and generated reports are stored locally on your device so you can review recent scans. The app does not upload vehicle data, VINs, raw adapter responses, or reports to our servers.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth permission is used to find and communicate with a BLE OBD-II adapter that you select. OBD Scope does not use Bluetooth to infer your physical location and does not write to or clear vehicle codes.
Analytics and crash reports
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to receive aggregated app usage events and crash diagnostics such as app version, device model, operating system, and error information. These services do not receive your vehicle readings or report contents. Google may process this information under its own privacy terms.
Advertising
The free version uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may process device and advertising identifiers and related ad-delivery information according to Google's policies and the consent choices available in your region.
Purchases and sharing
Google Play processes the one-time Pro purchase. OBD Scope does not receive your payment card details. When you choose Share, Android passes the selected PDF or CSV to the app you choose.
Retention and deletion
Delete saved scans from the app or clear the app's storage in Android settings. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored scans. You can contact us about analytics or crash data questions.
