PetPlant is an offline watering tracker for house plants. It has no account, no sign-in, and no server of our own. Every plant you add, every photo you take and every watering you record stays in the app's private storage on your device. This policy explains what the app handles and what it does not.
We collect nothing. We do not have a server, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, advertising identifier, or any account information.
The app does not contain advertising, analytics, or crash reporting services. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
The following is created and kept on your device only:
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it, and we do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making.
Watering reminders are local notifications. Your device schedules and shows them by itself, from data already stored on the device. There is no push notification server, and no message or token about you leaves your device. You can decline or revoke the notification permission at any time in your device settings; the rest of the app continues to work.
Each permission is requested at the moment the matching feature is used, and each one can be refused.
Plant records and history are stored in a database file in the app's private storage area. Photos are stored as files in the same private area. Preferences are stored in the operating system's standard local preference store. None of this is uploaded to a PetPlant server, because no such server exists. If you have enabled your platform's device backup (iCloud or Google), the app's local data may be included in that backup under Apple's or Google's terms.
The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash reporting service. The only outside request the app can make is an update check: it may ask the public App Store or Google Play listing whether a newer version of PetPlant is available. That request carries no personal data and no content from your plant records.
Photos are handled by your operating system's camera and photo picker, whose behaviour is governed by Apple's or Google's own policies. The app receives only the single image you select.
There is no server copy and no backup held by us, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no retention period on our side.
Because all data stays on your device and under your control, you already hold the rights that privacy laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) and the CCPA (California) provide: you can view, correct, export by device backup, and delete your data yourself at any time, using the app and your device settings. We hold no personal information about you, so there is no data of yours for us to access, disclose, correct, or erase, and none to sell — we do not sell or share personal information under any definition. If you still wish to make a request or ask a question about this, contact us at the address below.
Local data is kept in the app's private storage area, protected by your device's operating system and, where enabled, by device encryption. Keeping the data on the device and off any network is the main protection this app offers. No method of storage is completely secure, so we limit what the app handles in the first place.
PetPlant is a general-audience plant care tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and in fact we do not collect personal information from anyone. If you have a concern about a child's use of this app, contact us.
We may update this policy when the app changes. The revised version will be posted at this address with a new "Last Updated" date. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
